HAIR CARE
PRE INSTALLATION
1. Rinse your hair with lukewarm water.
2. Wash your hair gently with a sulphate free shampoo.
3. Apply conditioner and gently comb with a wide tooth comb.
4. Start from the bottom and comb in the top to bottom direction as you work yourself up towards the weft.
5.Rinse the conditioner out with cold water.(Cold water closes the cuticles of your hair thus enclosing moisture within and adding shine to your hair)
6. For curly and wavy textures, Scrunch your hair after wash to have enhanced and well defined pattern.
7. For Straight textures, comb your bundles in the top to bottom direction and let air dry to achieve perfect straight hair. To get a bone straight look, you could use a flat Iron and let air dry.
INSTALLATION
-We strongly recommend that you consult with a professional hair stylist to get your hair extensions installed.
-We advise our clients to sew in their hair extensions using the over and out method I.e around the weft rather than through it. This will prevent unnecessary shredding and protect the integrity of your hair bundle.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Daily Care: Apply a hair serum for shine and frizz control as and when needed. Wash your hair at least one a week to avoid excessive product deposit which may lead to stiff hair further causing matting and tangling.
Combing: When combing your hair, detangle starting from the bottom and work your way up to the weft. Remember to comb gently to avoid shedding. For Curly textures, we recommend combing your hair while wet.
Hair drying: Let your unity hair air dry naturally. In an ironic situation with no time, do not rub the hair to dry it but instead gently pat dry with a plush towel.
HEAT STYLING
-You may blow dry, curl or straighten your extensions, however, it is recommended to use a low heat setting for styling. Excess heat or frequent use of heat to dry or style your hair could damage it. Minimizing the use of heat will increase the longevity of your extensions.
-Always use heat protectant when heat styling to avoid damage. Keep in mind, excessive heat styling can alter the original pattern and integrity of the hair.
HAIR DYEING
-We do not recommend lightening or using any bleaching agents on our hair since it is pre-dyed to 1B and the results may not be very consistent.
-If you still decide to dye your hair, we strongly recommend consulting a professional hair stylist to apply a lightner to lift the hair color before pre-lightening it.
-Following dyeing of extensions, you should frequently deep-condition your hair to keep it moisturized..
SLEEP CARE
-Sleeping with open/free hair could cause tangling and matting of your hair. We thus recommend wrapping your hair in a satin head scarf or braiding your hair before going to bed.(Braiding usually enhances wave and curl patterns).
-Once awake, comb your hair in the top to bottom direction starting from the bottom as you work yourself up.
CONDITIONING
-Condition your hair around 2 times a week. This is to ensure your hair is retaining moisture and cleansing out any build-up that could cause matting or tangling.
- Leave-in conditioner should be applied after a shampoo wash. It can be used in place of the regular conditioner but you can use both in case your hair is particularly dry or damaged. It's best to apply the product when your hair is still damp.
